Molly Willson Perry
Molly Willson Perry coined the term "Anthropic Art."  Anthropic Art is art that has to do with a
person's existence; as they exist.  Art that has an intrinsic value of personal magic concerning its
owner.

Molly started her journey as a professional artisan in 1984 after graduating from college with
her second Bachelors degree.  Molly wanted to create an income creating her art, she taught
herself how to work with porcelain.  Her first kiln was bought with a life insurance policy that her
father took out for her when she was an infant.  Purchasing the kiln from the proceeds of the
matured policy was symbolic in that the money she received from the policy enabled her to live
her dream of becoming an artist.

Molly's journey has been interesting.  Perseverance, hard work, and having a positive attitude are
a big part of Molly’s life ethics.  Her choice of becoming an artist is more about her
communicating, talking and visiting with people form all over the world.  Molly learns and shares,
touching others’ lives as they touch hers.  She strives to observe without judgment.  Molly finds
the process of mankind interesting and inspiring.  Through implementation of her perceptions,
Molly’s work takes on the form of “vitality.”  Vitality that hopefully gives back, and makes a
positive difference in peoples’ lives.

Molly’s work reflects her humor and her spirituality.  Her art pieces bring smiles to peoples’
faces, or bring questions to their minds.  Conversations start flowing, people start
communicating and sharing with each other, hopefully developing tolerance and understanding.

Molly’s personal theory is, she can enjoy other’s experiences, she does not have to agree with
everything that people do and say, but Molly can appreciate the differences, and the affects,
and the effects of their culture and their personal choices made.  Molly says, “After all,
difference is what makes the world go ‘round, without difference, we would all be bored.”
